Protest staged over parking, cleaning of Anthony Waste Mgt vehicles

Mangaluru, 06 Sep 2016: In an incident reported, residents of Doddamane in the city staged a protest against Anthony Waste Management vehicles parking the trucks in the area. Apart from this, the residents also protested saying that roads had to be repaired.

 

A verbal fight ensued between the residents and Anthony Waste Management staff after which the Kavoor police intervened and convinced the residents to let the company do their work.

 

The protestors alleged that the garbage vehicles were being parked in the area and that the cleaning of those vehicles affected the environment. They further said that there were several malaria and dengue cases reported.
