Mosarukudike tragedy; youngster dies at Beltangady

Bantwal, 30 Aug 2016: A youngster died on Monday August 29, owing to critical injury to his scull that he succumbed whilst taking part in Mosarukudike celebrations at Beltangady on Sunday October 28.
The deceased has been identified as twenty-two-year-old Shishir, son of P M Prabhakar, resident of Deikinakatte in Pilatabettu gram panchayat, near here.
Shishir represented the team of Ramanjaneya of Ramanagar amongst many teams in the Mosarukudike celebrations at Beltangady. He was on the top of human pyramid hitting the pots and was about to hit the last one when he slipped and fell flat on the asphalted road, despite others tried to hold on. He was rushed to a private hospital at Mangaluru for his critical head injury where he breathed his last.
Shishir was a ace mimicry artiste stood first in state-level competitions in high school division. He was also an accomplished dramatist. He was a member of ABVP and RSS activist. He was a member of Ramanjaneya Bhajan group.
He was employed in a company at Bengaluru just 6 months ago after B Com. He was the eldest son among 2 sons of press employee P M Prabhakar. He had arrived from Bengaluru on Sundaymorning to take part in the celebrations for his destiny.
