Udupi, 03 Aug 2016: The Udupi court has imposed a penalty of Rs 15,000 to bus owner in a cheque bounce case.

A private bus owner identified as Kalmadi Satish had taken a loan of Rs.45, 000 from Suresh. However, the cheque given for repayment bounced. Hence Suresh filed a case against Satish in the court.

After an inquiry, the First Additional Magistrate ordered Kalmadi Satish to pay Rs 60,000 to Suresh including penalty of Rs 15,000. And if the bus owner fails to pay the amount he has to undergo a six month imprisonment.

Advocate Bhuvanendra Suvarna appeared on behalf of petitioner.
