Udupi: Athletes undergo training for World Special Olympics

Udupi, 31 Jul 2016: The district-level training to qualify state-level athletes for Summer World Special Olympics – 2016 was held at the grounds of Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre, Pamboor, near here on Saturday July 30.
Special Olympics Udupi district-in-charge Agnes Kundar briefed the athletes about the selection criteria and norms.
International athlete Wilma Pereira inaugurated the training programme. The athletes and heads of 6 schools of Udupi district participated in the training programme.
Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre chief functionary Henry Menezes, administrator Joseph Noronha and principal Sr Ancilla Fernandes were present.
