Udupi, 08 Jul 2016: Learning in mother tongue is a privilege, because all the great men in the world schooled in their own mother tongue. They enriched their mother tongue. Therefore, one should not have inferiority complex to study in Kannada medium, instead one got to be proud for being contributing for growth of Kannada, said teacher Alwyn Danti.

Alwyn was speaking during PTA meeting of Don Bosco Higher Primary School, Shirva, near here on Tuesday July 5.

The School correspondent Fr Stany Tauro in his presidential address urged the parents to be equally vigilant on their children against physical and mental abuse.

The School head teacher Philomena delivered the preliminary address.

Sudha and Ravindra Prabhu were elected as parents’ representative in PTA.

The School governing council member Peter Corda and Leena Machado and others were present.

Sr Benny D’Souza compered the programme. The teacher Irene proposed vote of thanks.
