it is a great thinking by the Police of Udupi-Dakshina Kannada to initiate some action to control school children s traffic after a great tragedy of tender school children. Parents ambition of English medium schooling and the heavy over loading of children in the vehicles was avery cruel act on the part of the concerned. The scarcity of police force and lack of control and the Government s neglisgence has caused the tragedy. The private Bus services also are responsible because of competetion. The Government must come out with safety measures in all respects. The steps initiated by the Police in Mangalore and Udupi are most welcome. But by reason of checking it is not human to take students to stations and delay by an hour at that time because the children will be very hungry. It will be a crtuel punishment for them. Please do the head count take the reocords of the vehicle and leave them early and take action against the vehicle driver/owner thereafter please. |
