Students should pursue studies like soldier guarding border – Major General Raghavendra

Udupi, 08 Jun 2016: The correspondent of S V H Pre-University College, Shirva, near here organized an interactive session with Major General Raghavendra C, a native of Innanje, near here who is serving Indian army, at their College, here on Tuesday June 7.
Addressing the students, Major General Raghavendra said, ‘If the students pursue studies diligently and with greater confidence; they would be more successful. The social values and cultural upbringing should not contradict national interest. Every student should develop patriotism along with parents love. The soldier guarding the border is only concerned of protecting the nation. If the students engage in studies like a soldier who guards the border day and night, the transformation will take place. It’s the duty of every student to keep up to the expectations of parents and teachers. The transformation should take place in classrooms,’ said Major General Raghavendra.
The lecturer Pundarikaksha Kodancha welcomed the gathering. Raghavendra Puranik offered floral welcome to Major General Raghavendra. A Ganesh Bhat proposed vote of thanks. Rajendra Prabhu compered the programme.
