Richard Vincent D’Souza appointed as new DC of Kodagu

 

Udupi, 02 Jun 2016: Richard Vincent D’Souza, hitherto CEO (chief executive officer) of Raichur zilla panchayat, has been appointed as deputy commissioner (DC) of Kodagu district and will take charge effective from Wednesday, June 1.

 

The appointment comes in the wake of the transfers of eight IAS officers effected by the state government on Tuesday.

 

D’Souza comes in place of Meer Anees Ahmed who got retired earlier.

 

D’souza had earlier served as the additional commissioner in the transport department. He was promoted to the cadre of IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer vide an order dated June 12 last year and consequently was appointed as the CEO of Raichur ZP

 

D’Souza is the son of late Urban D’Souza and Rita D’Souza of Mudarangady in Udupi district. He is married to Florine D’Souza and has two kids.

 

He is the brother of five sisters, including Sr Lenita D’ Souza, the provincial superior of Ursulines, Mangaluru province.
