Tit-for-tat not remedy for communalism – Rai

Bantwal, 19 April 2016: The peace and co-existence should prevail when communalism prevails. Tit for tat is not the remedy instead communalism can be overcome with love and friendship, said state forests and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai.
The minister Rai was speaking during the valedictory function of 36th Uroos of Hazrat Shaikh Moulavi that was held at Nooruddin Juma masjid, Guddengady, near Panemangaluru, here on Sunday April 17 night.
Sayyed Fakruddin Hasani Khadri Tangal from Tanoor, Kerala held the prayers before beginning the programme. The masjid Khatib Mustafa Faizi Patoor presided the programme.
Kazi Twaka Ustad inaugurated the newly-built floor above the masjid on the same occasion. Sajipanadu central Juma masjid Khatib Ashpak Faizi delivered the keynote address.
Mangaluru north MLA B A Moideen Bava, DCC vice president Haji B H Khader, MUDA chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, BUDA chairman Pius L Rodrigues, district youth Congress president Mitun Rai, Bantwal town councilor B Ramakrishna Alva, deputy councilor Mohammed Nandarabettu, Sadashiv Bangera, Abubakker Siddiq Guddengady, TP member B M Abbas Ali, K Sanjeev Poojary and others were the chief guests of the occasion.
The masjid chairman Haji Ahmed Fakir, office bearers S Mohammed Haji, Abdul Hameed, Haji H P Moideen, P B Ahmed Haji, Mohammed Hanif S M N, Haji B K Abdul Aziz Madani, Sharif Yamani, A A Ibrahim Musliar, Yaqoub Guddengady, Majeed Maistry, Majid Guddengady, Abdul G A Abbu Guddengady, Ismail P K and others were also present.
The masjid building Committee chairman Haji B A Mohammed Nima welcomed the gathering. K B Abubakkar Musliar proposed vote of thanks. Shahid Guddengady compered the programme.
