Social concern/service orientation mantra for developing leadership qualities - Shenava

Karkala, 04 Mar 2016: The people in the society ought to be concerned of common good of fellowmen, while the youth can develop leadership qualities by involved in social welfare activities. The interest to serve humanity and social concern are essential for an individual to become a leader in the society, said Lions Club International (LCI) district governor D Sridar Shenava.
Shenava was speaking during the public function that was organized by LCI – Belman at Muhurat auditorium, Belman, near here on Thursday March 3 evening. Shenava was on an official visit to LCI – Belman during the day, also inaugurated several social welfare programmes.
The advisor and retired professor Jayant Rao P and ZP newly-elected member Uday Shetty, TP newly-elected member Asha Devendra Shetty were felicitated on the same occasion.
The first lady Jyoti Sridar Shenava, district treasurer V T Hegde, Satish, Ramachandra Kamat, Lioness Club International president Jayanti Shetty, secretary Maya C Rao, Leo Club president Vandana Kamat, secretary Gladson Menezes, Vijeta Patkar and LCI district cabinet members were present.
LCI – Belman president Vishwanat Patkar welcomed the gathering. B Sitaram Bhat introduced the dignitaries. The secretary Raghunat Nayak Punar proposed vote of thanks.
