Shirva, 26 Feb 2016: The modern education is mere marks-oriented. One forgets what he/she had learnt in the past year. The curricular and extra-curricular activities are marks-oriented, while the earned knowledge is not applied to day-today living. Meanwhile, one can practically live whatever one learned at home, worship centers and schools, said Pilar Sudhakar Shenoy, teacher of Government High School, Kalya, near here.
Shenoy was the resource person speaking during the meeting of parents-teachers association (PTA) at Don Boso English Medium High School, Shirva, near here on Thursday February 25.
The campus director Fr Dr Anil Castelino said that children learn by observing. The cultural upbringing shapes the future of students.
The correspondent Fr Stany Tauro advised the students to utilize the opportunities to the best of their abilities.
The school Head Teacher Gretta Noronha welcomed the gathering. The teacher Irene Cardoza presented the report. The teacher Alwyn Danti compered the programme.
