Donating uniforms to poor students noble deed – K Ravindra

Karkala, 22 Feb 2016: The worship centers should not limit themselves from religious celebrations, instead strive for spiritual, social, educational, cultural and general well being of people in the society, said Kadary Ravindra Prabhu, chairman of Rajapura Saraswat Credit Co-operative Bank.
Prabhu was speaking during fifteenth annual distribution of uniforms to poor students of 13 schools in the region by Umamaheshwar Durgaparameshwari temple, Adapady, Palli, near here on Sunday February 21.
He further said, ‘The distribution of uniforms to over 450 poor students of Kannada medium schools in the taluk is a noble deed,’ said Prabhu. He also urged the teachers to take the students for a brief visit to temples located in the pristine surrounding, with the objective of cultural upbringing.
The temple managing trustee Pundalika Nayak distributed the uniforms to the students on the occasion.
The temple priest Vedamurti Mrugesh Bhat Laxmipura, Vedamurti Dayanand Bhat Kalladka, the entrepreneur Sakharam Shetty, PWD contractor Manjunat Nayak Kukkikatte, Udbav Constructions chairman Srisha Nayak, Sooda High School headmaster Ritesh Shetty, Mumbai – RSB Vignaharta Mahaganapati Seva Mandal president Vasant R Nayak, civil engineer Satish Prabhu Nirebailoor, Harish Nayak Dadabettu Palli, Karkala range deputy forest conservator Tukrappa, retired forest guard Babu were present.
Ramananda Prabhu Mumbai, Vinod Bhat, Madhav Prabhu Punaru, Srinivas Prabhu, Palli – RSB Sangh chairman Santosh Nayak were also present.
The temple priest Hariprasad Bhat welcomed the gathering. Vikram Bhat proposed vote of thanks. Vishnuprasad Bhat compered the programme.
