Self employment alleviates joblessness – Prof Bhaskar

Udupi, 01 Feb 2016: The thousands of graduates are coming out of colleges every year, while the unemployment is spiraling. Meanwhile, those youth with minimum education are opting for vocational courses to get jobs in India and overseas to lead better lives. The self employment is the only solution for unemployment, said retired Professor Y Bhaskar Shetty, administrator of Vidyavardaka Sangha, Shirva, near here.
Professor Bhaskar was speaking after inaugurating decennial celebration of Mi-Tech Group of Institutions, ITI and computer education, Shirva, near here on Saturday January 30.
Sooda Government High School headmaster Ritesh Shetty was the chief guest, lauded the efforts of Palli Uday Acharya, promoter of Mi-Tech Group of Institutions in helping hundreds of students to carve out better future by offering vocational courses.
Palli Uday Acharya presided the programme.
Shirva gram panchayat president Varija Poojary, Hindu PU College retired Professor S V Ganapati Bhat, entrepreneur Sripati Bhat were present at the dais.
The alumni who were employed in India and overseas were felicitated on the same occasion.

The students presented variety cultural shows as part of entertainment after the stage programme.
