Karkala: School Day celebrations got to be venue to exhibit talent: BEO Manmohan

Karkala, 26 Dec 2015: The students’ strength in state-run schools will increase if the parents change their minds when they marvel at the multi-talents of students that were exhibited ruing school day celebrations. The annual day celebrations should not become a stage for honoring the donors instead be a platform for the students to exhibit their inherent talents, said Karkala block education officer (BEO) H K Manmohan.
Manmohan was speaking after inaugurating taluk level talent conpetitions that was held fro the students of Class I to Class VIII at Sundar Puranik Memorial Govternment High School, Pervaje, near here on Tuesday December 22.
He urged the teachers to encourage the students study and facilitate leadership qualities in them.
The block co-ordinating officer Bhaskar, Pervaje High School head teacher Harshini Hegde, primary school head teacher Laxmi Hegde, Bajagoli education co-ordinator Shivanand, MLC Krishna Kumar, teachers Association taluk secretary Krishna Moily were present at the dais.
The nodal officer Ratnakar welcomed the gathering. The block resources person Jayanti Shetty compered the programme. CRP Manje Gowda proposed vote of thanks.
Three-hundred-sixty-five students of different clusters are partaking in the taluk level competitions.
