​SP Annamalai reacts to messages on his transfer; says rumors are baseless

 

Udupi, 15 Dec 2015: After social media was flooded with messages that Superintendent of Police Annamalai would be transferred, he has responded that all rumors were baseless.

 

 

Annamalai said, “Transfers are done as per the directions from the government. Nobody should listen to rumors on the transfer. I request the people not to resort to any type of protest.”

 

For SP Annamalai it was obvious that people would have staged protests if he was transferred as he was known for honesty, efficiency and no-nonsense approach. However, a few days back messages were doing the rounds that he would be transferred with influence from anti-social elements.

 

In the meantime, SP Annamalai’s transfer is believed to be in the initial stages; some organizations have already decided to hold silent protests to stop his transfer.
