Mangaluru: Forest dept seizes truck illegally transporting timber logs at Bangra Kuloor

Mangaluru, 6 Dec 2015: The forest department officials seized a truck illegally transporting timber logs of different varieties without any valid permit at nearby Ayyappa temple, near Kuloor Bridge that comes under the limits of Bangra Kuloor village, Mangaluru – Udupi NH 66, here on Friday December 4.

 

The truck driver Mohammed Afsar was booked in this case and released after signing an undertaking.

 

Mangaluru ranger forest officer P Sridar, deputy forest officer Ashwit K Gatti, Preetam and Ravi Kumar, foresters Jitesh P and Krishna Jogi, forest watcher Prince and jeep driver Suraj Suvarna were involved in this operation.

 

Further investigations are underway by the conservator of forests.
