SPC Suraksha Consumer Forum visit Town Police Station

Puttur, 30 Nov 2015: ‘The twin roles which the police are expected to play in a society are maintenance of law and maintenance of order,’ said the sub-inspector of police Abdul Khader.
He was addressing the students of St Philomena College during their visit to town police station, here on November 27. It was organized by the Suraksha Consumer Forum under its practical training programme of certificate course on Consumer Education.
He further explained about the powers and functions of policemen in protecting the life, liberty, property, human rights and dignity of the members of the public. He also demonstrated the various equipments and weapons that are used in discharging their duties.
The assistant sub-inspector Rukmayya Moolya explained about the procedures followed by the police department in executing various rules and regulations of the government.
Professor Dinakara Rao, director of Suraksha Consumer Forum co-ordinated the visit programme. Kunjamma, the member of Suraksha Consumer Forum proposed the vote of thanks.
