Man attacked for opposing sale of ganja
Mangaluru, 07 Nov 2015: A man allegedly attacked another person who reportedly was opposed to the sale of ganja. The incident took place on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Abdul Khader; the accused Sumith hails from Moodushedde.
Sources say that at about 9.45 am on Friday, Abdul was waiting near a shop at Shantinagara with his friends when Sumith came and attacked him with a knife. Sumith used abusive words and also tried to stab Abdul. However, Abdul managed to escape with minor injuries.
Filing a complaint, Abdul said that Sumith was involved in ganja trafficking in Kavoor and Shantinagara and Sumith was angry as Abdul had opposed it.
A case has been registered and investigations are on.
