Herbal medicinal plantlets rooted at St Philomena College

Puttur, 29 Oct 2015: ‘Promoting personal health is a prerequisite for community health,’ said Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, chairperson of Center for PG Studies and Research, St Philomena College, here on Wednesday October 28, after rooting few herbal plantlets, and thus, inaugurating the herbal medicinal garden started by medical and psychiatric MSW students on the PG Campus.

He also stressed upon the importance of herbal medical plants urging students to maintain the garden throughout the year and thus sustain the long-established treasure of nature.

 

Professor Prasanna Kumar, co-ordinator of MSW department, Fr Prince C P, mentor of the initiative and other faculty members and students participated in the event.

 

Nasreen spoke about the effort and aspects herbal garden. Deepika compered the programme.
