DC Ibrahim advised jail authorities to organize vocational training to longtime prison

Mangaluru, 10 Oct 2015: Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, while on his visit to district prison here on Friday October 9, instructed the jail authorities in order to organize vocational training for prisoners serving long sentences.
He also advised the jail authorities to complete the installation of mobile jammers at the prison and also cleanse the water treatment plant of prison by civic body.
The drinking water need to be purified before providing to the prisoners and also maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen. The prisoners should be presented before the court on confirmed days of hearing. The video conferencing got to be done of prisoners in courts of other districts, added DC Ibrahim.
The mayor Jacinta Vijay Alfred, commissioner Dr Gopalakrishna, ASP Shantakumar, Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar, ACP Kalyan Shetty, jail superintendent Obaleshappa and others were present.
Earlier, DC Ibrahim along with officers visited all the cells and inspected the living condition of inmates.
