Bantwal: Akanksha Charitable Trust brings ray of hope for rural students

Bantwal, 5 Jul 2015: The students of Dakshina Kannada district got to take keen interest in science to excel in the nation. The students easily understand the topic when its experimented. The students of Dakshina Kannada should bring name to their hometowns by human values and becoming good citizens, said Dakshina Kannada ZP CEO Srividya.
Srividya was speaking after inaugurating new academic programme for rural students by Akaksha Charitable Trust, Putur at Surya High School, here on Sunday July 5.
The students should not only aim for securing high marks. There lies need to enhance general knowledge by reading, said Srividya. She lauded the yeomen service of Akanksha Charitable Trust in improving the quality of education.
The journalist and columnist A R Manikant said, ‘I was juggling with words while filing reports. I got an opportunity to converse with students at their emotional level. The hard life indeed makes life worthwhile. Akanksha is sharing knowledge by mixing with the students,’ said Manikant.
Puttur – St Philomena College head of department of physics Dr A P Radhakrishna presided the programme.
ZP member Shailaja Bhat, Puttur – Vivekananda College head of department of physics Harish Shastry, Surya School governing council president Subraya Bhat Konkodi, head teacher Sumangali M were present at the dais.
Akanksha Charitable Trust trustees Aditi K T Bhat and Nandini rendered the prayers. Riyanka welcomed the gathering. The Trust managing trustee Shrisha Bhat Baipadav briefed about the social welfare activities. Jeevita proposed vote of thanks. Ganesh compered the programme.
