Minister Rai urges Cong activists to work relentlessly for getting majority in GP elections

Bantwal, 13 May 2015: It’s the responsibility of Congress activists to create just society, while they got to join hands with Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in strengthening state administration in reigning Congress in local governance, urged DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai.
The minister Rai was address the Congress activists of Bantwal and Panemangaluru block during the public meeting held at Brahmashree Narayana Guru Mandir auditorium, Ganadapadpu, B C Road, here on Tuesday May 12. It was organized as preliminary to the forthcoming gram panchayat elections.
Congress party has been striving to bring economically and socially backward people to the main stream of society in order to lead dignified and self sufficient life, said minister Rai. He urged the party activists to work relentlessly to convince the voters in rural villages about the pro-people programmes introduced by the Congress-led state administration.
ZP member M S Mohammed, Chandraprakash Shetty, Mamata Gatti, Mangaluru mayor Jacinta, Mangaluru corporators Sasidar Hegde and Appy, BUDA chairman Pius Rodrigues, Congressmen B H Khader and A C Bhandary, Bantwal town councilor Vasanti Chandappa, Sullia block Congress president Venkappa Gowda, Jinaraja Ariga, DK district youth Congress president Mitun Rai, Padmashekar Jain, Rajashekar Naik, Sanjeev Poojary, Ida Suresh, Sampat Kumar Shetty, Bantwal block Congress president Mayeelappa Salian, Lukman, Sudarshan Jain, Padmanabha Rai, Flossy D’Sozua, Venkappa Poojary and others were present.
Panemangaluru block Congress president Abbas Ali welcomed the gathering. Rajeev Kakkepadav compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
