Bantwal: Revenue officials raid on sand mafia at old Netravati bridge, Panemangaluru

Bantwal, 09 May 2015: Tahsildar Purandar Hegde and revenue officials raided the illegal sand mining that has been going on underneath old Netravati bridge at Panemangaluru, here Friday May 8.

The officials seized 4 trucks, 1 tractor and a truck without registration plate from the spot. 

 

The sand mafia has been active day and night since a few months extracting sand from underneath old Netravati bridge at Panemangaluru, here. The operation was carried out on the basis of complaint by the locals.
