Rommel S Moras, native of Siddakatte safe in Nepal

Bantwal, 27 Apr 2015: I spoke to my son who is safe by the mercy of God, explained Ronald Moras, worried father of young Rommel Stephen Moras, who is in the quake-hit Kathmandu, Nepal.
Ronald who is a native of Siddakatte, near here in conversation with media persons, said that he got relieved when he was informed that his son Rommel is safe in Kathmandu on Sunday April 26 afternoon.
Rommel is a MBA employed in Bengaluru-based Clutch Group of Company who had left for Nepal along with his friends from New Delhi on April 22. No sooner Ronald came to know of earthquake in Nepal, he tried to contact his son over his mobile but unable to reach owing to connectivity difficulty. The worried Ronald informed Sangabettu gram panchayat member Prabhakar Prabhu who brought this to the notice of DK district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai, MLC Ivan D’Souza, DK SP Dr Sharanappa, DK district Deputy Commissioner. Meanwhile, Dr Sharanappa was able to contact the officials in Kathmandu and confirmed that Rommel is safe in Height Resort in Himalaya. He also gave the landline number of Height Resort to Ronald who spoke to his son Rommel and was relieved of his anxiety.
Rommel informed his father Ronald that there are many other nationals of different countries are stranded in Kathmandu and the arrangements are under way to send them safely to their respective countries.
Ronald thanked the district administration for bringing him good news of his son.
