Enlightened public can lead to crime-free society – Ashok P

Udupi, 18 Mar 2015: There lies no difference of petty and serious crimes. All activities in violation of law are crimes. The criminals involve in the act whilst living in the society. If one closely observes the movements of such criminals, it’s possible to nab the guilty and get punishment. The enlightened public can contribute for crime-free society, said Shirva police sub-inspector Ashok P.
Ashok was speaking in a public meeting on ‘curbing crimes and safe driving’ that was organized by taxi men’s union and auto rickshaw drivers and owners union, at Bantakal, here on Tuesday March 17.
Ashok explained the cases of road accidents, chain-snatching, burglary, kidnapping girls, communal violence, luring young girls by mobile and internet, etc. He also urged the parents to keep a watch on their children and if they come across any suspicious cases to report to the nearest police station, urged Ashok.
The union president Henry Fernandes presided the programme.
The local entrepreneur Satish Shetty, union leader Suresh, Anantaram Wagle was present at the dais.
