Karkal: Town police rescue destitute young woman and house at Vishwasadamane

Karkal, 11 Feb 2015: The town police in a humanitarian deed taken a young-mentally-unstable-destitute-woman in a private Maruti car and housed her at Vishwasadamane Rehabilitation Centre in Udupi district.

 

 

The young woman was found wearing shabby clothes, roaming the streets in Karkal, scavenging food from garbage bins. She was so weak even to stand and speak.  She was stinking with dirt. 

 

Meanwhile, the staff at Vishwasadamane bathed her and dressed her with a pair of new clothes. The doctors examined her and certified to be mentally ill. The treatment began for her condition and the authorities of Vishwasadamane hopes she recovers from her illness and someday rejoins her family.
