M’luru: State minister H K Patil hold discussions on issues of gram panchayats in DK

Mangaluru, 11 Feb 2015: The former MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary led the delegation of ZP president Asha Timmappa Gowda, vice president Satish Kumpala, agriculture and industries steering Committee president Balakrishna Banajalu met state rural and Panchayat Raj minister H K Patil, here on Tuesday February 10, and briefed the acute drinking water woes of many gram panchayats that come under the limits of DK zilla panchayat, the shortage of state funds to under emergency works towards supplying drinking water, the depleting of underground water resources across DK district, the difficulties faced by common folks in getting building permits to construct houses from village councils owing to implementation of 9/11 rules.

 

 
The minister Patil assured the delegation to resolve the issue of drinking water woes by finding permanent solution, issue of building permits and other issues by convening meeting with peoples representatives at the earliest.
