Udupi: Hinduism fostered by religious awakening with children – Suprasad Shetty

Udupi, 10 Feb 2015: The children should be taught of religious virtues from their childhood. The community living is the essence of Indian culture.
The worship centers and community worship is the replica of Hindu culture that would be sustained when there is religious awakening among the people, said Baikady Suprasad Shetty, managing trustee of Sri Kshetra – Nilavar and VHP Udupi district president.
Suprasad was speaking during twelfth mass celebration of Ashwatta puje that was organized by public celebration of Ganeshotsav Committee here on Saturday February 7.
Professor Subramanya Bhat, principal of MSRS College, Shirva presided the programme.
Vedic celebrant Kenja Sridar Tantri Kutyar performed religious rituals on the occasion.
Vedamurti Srinivas Bhat, Tammana Shetty and Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty were present at the dais.
K Sundar Prabhu welcomed the gathering. Shreya rendered the prayers. Devendra Nayak proposed vote of thanks. Anant Moodittaya compered the programme.
Bhakta Prahlada, Yakshagana play was staged by the artistes of Subramanya Yakshagana Kala Mandali, Udupi as part of entertainment programme.
