Udupi: Wealth utilized to uplift poor and hapless pleases God – Swami Vishwapriya

Udupi, 04 Feb 2015: Instead of amassing hard earned wealth for our children, if it’s well utilized to help the poor and hapless, it would indeed please God, said Swami Vishwapriya of Adamar mutt.
Swami Vishwapriya was speaking during the annual day celebration of Giri Balaga, Kunjarugiri, near here held at Durgadevi temple premises, Kunjarugiri, here on Tuesday February 3.
The need of the hour is to culturally up bring the children to become responsible future citizens, said Swami Vishwapriya.
Nitte Engineering College vice principal Dr I Ramesh Mittantaya in his presidential address said that the children got to be educated on Hindu culture along with devotion to God.
Kateel temple priest Kamaladevi Asranna, Sasidar Bhat Udupi, Giri Balaga founder president Govind Bhat was present.
The veteran scholar – Sri Kshetra Pajaka temple priest Vedamurti Madhav Upadhyaya was felicitated on the same occasion.
Padubelle Madwaraj Bhat welcomed the gathering. The priest Raghavendra Bhat compered the programme. Rajamurti Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
Vishwamitra, Yakshagana play was staged by the Giri Balaga artistes as part of entertainment programme.
