Sexual assault on daughters : Father put behind bars

 

Belthangady, 10 Dec 2014: The 32-year-old father who was accused of raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter and 10-year-old biological daughter has been imprisoned after being produced before court on Wednesday, December 10.

 

The accused named Raja who hails from Kollegala was arrested on Tuesday, December 9 after the victims gathered courage and filed a case against him.

 

The complaint filed by the stepdaughter stated that Raja was sexually abusing the daughters from last two years. Even though the victims narrated the incident to their mother Manjula, she is said to be threatened the daughters not to reveal the incident to anyone.

 

The elder daughter gathered courage and approached the Belthangady police station on Tuesday and revealed the atrocities that they went through.

 

Raja has been booked for rape and criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code. The kids too were produced before Child Welfare Committee on Wednesday.
