Kasargod, Dec 06, 2014: A Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker plunged into a gorge besides NH 66 at Bandyodu Shiriya Bridge, in Manjeshwar taluk, here on Friday December 5 at about 2.00am.

The tanker was transporting LPG from Mangaluru to Ernakulam in Kerala, when it plunged into gorge.

The fire brigades from Uppala rushed to the spot along with policemen from Manjeshwar station and Kumbla circle inspector and cordoned off the area, to thwart any leakage of gas. The electricity supply was snapped as the spot was near to a fuel filling station.
