Karkal: Kateel College - Weeklong NSS Special Annual camp inaugurated

Karkal, 30 Nov 2014: The education institutions should not limit studies to get higher marks instead instill moral values, social consciousness, spirituality and mental agility along with studies, said Suprasad Shetty Baikady, managing trustee of Mahishamardini temple, Nilavar, near here.
Suprasad was speaking after inaugurating NSS annual special camp of Durgaparameshwari First Grade College, Kateel, near here which was held at Sapaliga Samaja Seva auditorium, Mundkoor, near here on Saturday November 29.
The teachers got to instill discipline, sense of time, hard work and patriotism among the students, said Suprasad.
The College principal M Balakrishna Shetty presided the inaugural of annual special weeklong camp that was organized in collaboration with Mundkoor gram panchayat, the local temple and Government Higher Primary School.
Mundkoor gram panchayat president Satyashankar Shetty administered the oath-taking ceremony.
Mundkoor gram panchayat members Bhaskar Shetty and Ravindra Shetty, Primary School head teacher Sharada, Durga Cable proprietor Karunakar Shetty, camp officer Sunita and others were present at the dais.
The camp officer Keshav H welcomed the gathering. Rashmita proposed vote of thanks. Deeksha compered the programme.
