M’luru: Gangster Manoj Tokur booked under Goonda Act

Mangalore, Nov 03, 2014: The notorious gangster Manoj Kumar Kodikere alias Manoj Tokur was booked under Goonda Act by city policy here on Saturday November 1.

 

Manoj is the second goon booked under the Act in the past week. The city police booked Keshav Poojary alias Choni of Someshwar and imprisoned at Bellary jail. Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies have imprisoned Manoj at Dharwad jail.

 

 

Manoj is prime accused in Kabir murder case and was also suspect in Sukhananda Shetty’s murder at Kulai. The local corporator Pratiba Kulai had alleged that she was threatened by youth sent by Manoj, whilst she was campaigning during the recently held general elections at Kodikere near here.

 

Although Hindu Jagaran Vedike gave a call for city bandh on Monday November 3, against the law enforcement agencies for arresting their activist Manoj, it was called off till they hold talks.

 

The law enforcement agencies are determined to maintain peace in city by booking notorious goons under Goonda Act.
