Media fraternity pays rich tributes to veteran M V Kamath

Mangalore, 11 Oct 2014: Dakshina Kannada working journalists Association in association with Press Club organized condolence meet for Padma Bhushan veteran journalist ninety-three-year-old M V Kamath at Patrika Bhavan here on Friday October 10.
M V Kamath also the former chairman of Prasar Bharati passed away Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Udupi on Thursday October 9 early morning.
After media fraternity offering a floral tribute to the portrait of M V Kamath, senior journalist and Udayavani – Kannada daily city bureau chief Manohar Prasad spoke on the life and contributions of M V Kamath to the field of journalism.
Manohar Prasad said that the demise of M V Kamath is a great loss to the field of journalism. Also, he was very committed and dedicated towards his field, ever since the British rule. He was a very patient and humble man.
Dakshina Kannada working journalists Association president P B Harish Rai, Press Club president Ramakrishna, Ravindra Shetty, Srinivas Nayak and others journalists were present on the occasion.
