Drawing improves imagination skill & creativity– Purushotham

Puttur, 3 Sep 2014: Fine Arts Association of St Philomena College, here organized a workshop on drawing, painting and collage at their Prerahana Hall, here recently.
Purushotham, awards winning drawing teacher of St Philomena High School said, ‘Art is an integral part of every individual’s daily life. From childhood unknowingly we involve ourselves in different forms of art but due to various reasons we discontinue it.’
He also said, ‘Drawing is a vital part of art. Initially we begin drawing by scribbling, at the later stage the patience and dedication transforms it into a beautiful form of art. Drawing improves imagination skill and creativity and contributes in the overall development of the individual.’
The College principal Professor Leo Noronha, l in his presidential address said, ‘Art has no language, it is a universal gift which is appreciated by all. Every individual should cultivate a hobby to improve their skill and talent.’
The fine arts Association director Varija M welcomed the gathering. Sara Sanaf compered the programme.
