Mangalore: Mogaveera community offer puja to Sea Lord for abundant harvest

Mangalore, 11 Aug 2014: The fisheries community led by Yelupatna Mogaveera Samyukta Mahasabha offered puja to Sea Lord at Tannirbavi beach here on Monday August 10.

 

 

Kadri – Jogi mutt Swami Nareshnat offered puja in the presence of hundreds of devotees as per the ancient tradition here on Monday morning, to appease Sea Lord for abundant of fisheries catch that will sustain the livelihood of fisheries community.

 

Swami also distributed prasadam to ten heads of Mogaveera, the traditional fisheries community in coastal district on the same occasion.

 

Jogi community leader Sadanand Jogi, Yelupatna Mogaveera Samyukta Mahasabha president Madhav Salian and others were present.
