M’lore : There is a need to attach the North East India into the rest: Governor of Nagaland

M’lore Jul 29, 2014 : The North East Part of India is in Danger due to the neighbouring countries. Hence there is a need to attach the north east part of India emotionally with the rest of India said , the Governor of Nagaland Sri Padmanabha Acharya.
He was addressing the gathering after being felicitated in the Sanghaniketan hall.
He said “The borders of the North East India are surrounded by people who want to divide our country. Terrorist training camps and other anti social activities are being conducted in the borders by the neighbouring countries and it is posing a threat to National Security. The spirit of an Indian is dyeing in these states. In this situation we should accept the students of the north eastern states as our own and emotionally connect them with India and show them that India is country of Unity In Diversity.”
He also said that only service can make the people of North East have their faith on the country. Hence more and more chartered accountants, Educationists, and other professionals should go to these states and render their service there.
He also said that the Nation is lead by Hindutva, the strong force to unite the country. Hence the government lead by Narendra Modi will maintain the National Integrity.
He later on blamed the former government for the problems that the country is facing from the neighbouring countries.
“Similar to the department of foreign languages in our colleges the departments to study the dialects of tribal people should be instituted in every college and university. If implemented this will be a major step to conserve and spread these languages and dialects.”, he added.
The ceremony was presided over by Sri Vinay Hegde who in his address said “ Dakshina Kannada is district is the land of peace and harmony. Hence the students of North Eastern states are studying here in large number. “
“Today along with the other reservations the governments should provide reservation of free education for these students in our institutions. The new governor should suggest this to the central government and if this is implemented will lead to drastic development in our country”
The guests released a booklet about the beauty and cultural variety of North East India in the programme.
MP of Mangalore Constituency Nalin Kumar Kateel, President of Sri Padmanabha Acharya Nagarika Sanmana Samithi M Padnabha Pai were among the present at the occasion.
Ex MLA Yogish Bhat Welcomed the gathering while the president of district BJP Pratap Simha Nayak rendered the vote of thanks.
In prior to the felicitation ceremony the governor participated in an interaction session with the North East students in the city.
The program was organized by Sri Padmanabha Acharya Nagarika Sanmana Samithi.
