Karkal: Incessant rains cause havoc on houses at Belman

Karkal, 16 Jul 2014: The incessant and high velocity gales damaged many houses in the neighbourhood of Belman, near here on the wee hours of Tuesday July 15.

 
A tiled house of Francis Mathias, residing at Padlekar in Belman village was partially damaged owing to rains and gales.  Shirva deanery Catholic Sabha president Allen D’Souza, Srikant, Rajesh and Shankar, all residents of Inna village volunteered to repair the house from Tuesday morning.

 

 
The walls and roof of house owned by Kannamma, a resident of Pakala, Kedinje – Manjarapalke, near Belman collapsed on Monday July 14 early morning. The loss has been estimated to be around Rs 80,000.  Kannamma was a lonely woman took shelter on the night in her neighbour’s house survived.
