Karkal: Nelligudde villagers help Mescom to chop-off branches; restore electricity supply

Karkal, Jul 1, 2014 : One normally blames the electricity provider Mescom for any and every difficulties in disruptionion of power supply.  On the other hand, the Mescom that is facing the shortage of linemen are not in a position to attend the numerous complaints pouring in from electricity consumers of far-flung villages especially during the monsoon season. 

 

 

Here is a classic example, wherein the residents of Nelligudde village chopped-off the branches that were at the vicinity of electric cables and were causing snapped power supply when faced with high velocity winds although co-ordinated by Mescom.  Meanwhile, if the people develop this kind of helping nature for common good, several of their issues would be resolved.  However, the department concerned should not consider it as a weakness in exploiting their helpful nature.
