Mangalore, Jun 25, 2014 : ‘Extend a helping hand to the needy and weaker section,’ said Vijaya Bank executive director K R Shenoy.
K R Shenoy was addressing the newly recruited Assistant Managers of Vijaya Bank, undergoing training at Nitte Campus of Nitte Institute of Banking and Finance here on Wednesday June 25.
K R Shenoy shared his rich experience in the banking industry and emphasized the need of good conduct, integrity and discipline for career progression.
Shenoy further gave a call to the officers to have a helping nature and contribute to growth and development of the society. Recalling the glorious past of the Bank, Shenoy said that the Bank had program for financial inclusion from the very inception as it catered for agriculturists and rural folk. He also lauded the contribution of Nitte Group in the field of education and medical services.
Nitte University registrar Dr M S Moodithaya stressed the need of skill and will in shaping ones career and life. He called upon the officers to keep learning and acquiring new knowledge.
Syndicate Bank former chairman and managing director Dr N K Thingalaya in his presidential address, advised the officers to be partners in the Bank by subscribing to the Bank’s shares. He impressed upon the officers to have loyalty to the bank and grow with the bank.
Professor K R Nayak welcomed the gathering. Professor M S Rao, proposed vote of thanks Dr Sriharsha Bhat compered the programme.
