Mangalore: Airport Customs seize silver-coated gold sheet & coins from Sharjah Passenger

Mangalore, 10 May 2014: The officers of customs at Mangalore International Airport seize 1 silver coated gold sheet weighing 116.5 grams concealed inside the flask along with 3 gold coins weighing 24 grams totally valued at Rs 4,14,370 from a passenger Muneer Pallipuzha, who is a resident of Pallikere, Kasargod and arrived at Mangalore International Airport on Saturday May 10 at about 9.30am by Air India Express flight IX 824 from Sharjah.

 

 

The operations were carried out under the supervision of Krishna Kumar Prasad, assistant commissioner of customs, Mangalore International Airport.  Further investigation is under progress as per the instructions of commissioner D Purushottam.
