BJP ousts P.P. Hegde, Srikar Prabhu for anti-party activities

Mangalore, 08 May 2014: Srikar Prabhu and P.P. Hegde were shown the way out by the state executive committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, May 8.
As per the recommendation by the district unit, Prabhu has been expelled for a period of six years. While Hegde has been removed from his post as the chief of BJP National Security Cell.
Anti-party activities by both Prabhu and Hegde was the reason for the expulsion.
The BJP in the statement said that the duo were removed from the party in the wake of some unexpected events that damaged the party’s image during the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections.
