Karkal: Rotary District Governor offers motion for various devt works

Karkal, Apr 4, 2014 : Rotary Club International (RCI) district governor Gururaj S and his wife Pushpa expressed happiness over RCI – Belman for undertaking several social welfare activities in just 1 year of its launch, opening 3 Rotaract Clubs in high schools in the neighbourhood, establishing Rotary community unit in Bola village, opening Rotaract Club for youth in Belman, for its contributions in education, health and sports activities among the youth and for acquiring a plot to construct Rotary Community Building.

 
The governor Gururaj was speaking after visiting RCI – Belman, inaugurating tap water facility to Laxmi Janardhan temple, Nandalike, inaugurating a house that was donated by Rotary to homeless family of Sainath Kedinje, laying foundation four constructing Rotary Community Building, and other development works in the neighbourhood, here on Thursday April 3.

 

 

The governor Gururaj felicitated social activist Remedia D’Souza, Belman – St Joseph’s School senior teacher and intellectual B Pundalika Marate, progressive former Nandalike Sudhakar Shetty, during a function held at Belman gram panchayat, here on Thursday.

 
A wheel chair was donated to physically challenged local resident on the same occasion.


RCI – Belman founder president Suryakant Shetty welcomed the gathering.  The secretary Vignesh Shenoy presented the annual report.  Mervin Mendonca, Murlidar Jogi, Alwyn Neri Pinto, Sadashiv Shetty, Sunil Dev, Srikant Udupa, Mohandas Adyantaya introduced the dignitaries.


The vice governor Madhav Suvarna released ‘Siri Sampada’ RCI bulletin during the programme.

 
The bulletin editor Sudhakar Rao assisted in the programme.  Radhika Rajesh Shenoy rendered the prayers.  Sandeep V Poojary compered the programme.  Jitesh Kanchan proposed vote of thanks.
