Udupi: Swami Vishwavallaba offers puja at Vishnumurti Temple, Mattu

Udupi, 26 Mar 2014 : Swami Vishwavallaba of Sodhe mutt, performed vedic rituals at the renovated Vishnumurti temple, Mattu, near Shirva, here on Tuesday March 25.
 
The members of temple governing council and Mattu Brahmin Committee offered puja to the feet of Swami Vishwavallaba.

 

Swami Vishwavallaba in his message to the gathering said that the contemporary Swami Vadiraja of Sodhe mutt distributed the seeds of mattu gulla, a local breed of brinjal as an offering to the locals of Mattu.  It has become a significant crop that has grown in several hectares of farmlands across Udupi district now, said Swami Vishwavallaba.
 
Swami Vishwavallaba conveyed best wishes to the upcoming religious celebrations and prayed for the spiritual bliss of the devotees.
