Udupi: Annual Festivities held at Twin Temples in Pernankila

Udupi, 20 Mar 2014: The annual festivities in the twin temples of Mahaganapati and Mahalingeshwara temples, Pernankila, near here were held in pomp and gaiety on Tuesday, March 18.

 
Swami Vishvesha of Pejawara mutt graced the occasion.

 
The free-food offerings to hundreds of devotees was held on Tuesday afternoon.

 

 

 

 
A large number of people participated in pulling the ceremonious chariot at the temple premises.

 
It has been observed that year-after- year the number of devotees attending the annual festivities at the temple are steadily increasing. However, the infrastructural facilities are not sufficient to accommodate and cater to such a large convergence of devotees. ­
