Udupi, 16 Mar 2014: Let everyone lead life by knowing their rights and duties, urged district consumers information Centre trustee A P Kodancha.
Kodancha was the resource persons, speaking during World Consumers’ Day programme, held at Government Composite High School, Valakadu, here on Saturday March 15.
The students got to lay emphasis on human values. They will have to partake in extra-curricular activities besides their studies, said Kodancha.
The school buses/vans etc are overcrowded with students, because the parents have forgotten their responsibilities and duties. The teenage children are riding two-wheelers and driving cars without obtaining driver’s license, added Kodancha.
‘The consumers’ awareness can resolve these kinds of issues,’ said Kodancha. All those services for which the consumers pay money are covered under Consumers’ Right. If the students learn about this, it would lead to responsible society, stressed Kodancha.
The district consumers’ information Centre trustee U G Kamat briefed on the key aspects of Consumers’ Right Act.
