M’lore: B A Mohd Hanif assumes charge as president of Beary Sahitya Academy

Mangalore, 4 Mar 2014: The installation ceremony of newly-appointed president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy was held at Rangoli auditorium, B C Road, here on Tuesday March 4.

 
Dakshina Kannada (DK) district-in-charge minister Bantwal Ramanath Rai handed over the appointment letter issued by state government to the newly-appointed president B A Mohammed Hanif.

 
Speaking on the occasion, minister Rai said that the newly-appointed president and members had to work towards fulfilling the objectives of Academy for which the state government had set up, said minister Rai.

 
The minister Rai also advised to present excellent programmes by forging strong bond among the community brethren, advised minister Rai.

 

 
The Academy founder president M B Abdul Rehman in his chief guest’s address urged the community to promote Beary language, literature, culture and amidst the threat of regional extinction of regional languages.

 
B A Mohammed Hanif after assuming the charge as president said that he will do his duties to the best of his abilities by pooling the suggestions and garnering support from veterans of community.

 
AHINDA Chaluvali president Vasudev Boloor, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy registrar Chandrahas Rai, Abdul Majeed Sooralpady, Aziz Baikampady, K Mohammed Chikmagalur conveyed all the success for the new office bearers.

 
Khalid Ujire delivered the felicitation address.  Mohammed Maripalla rendered the welcome song.  The Academy registrar Umarabba welcomed the gathering.  Badruddin K Mani proposed vote of thanks.  Hameed Goltamajal compered the programme.
