Thousands partake in Annual Festivities at Siddi Vinayaka

Kundapur, Feb 19, 2014 : The annual festivities were held at the historical Siddi Vinayaka temple, Hattiyangady, near here from Sunday February 16 to Tuesday February 18.

 
The temple celebrant Vedamurti H Ramachandra Bhat led Vedic celebrations that were held throughout three-day of annual festivities at Siddi Vinayaka temple, Hattiyangady, near here.

 

 
The hundreds and thousands of devotees participated in Vedic celebrations including offering of 1,008 coconuts on Tuesday.

 
The idol of Lord Siddi Vinayaka was anointed with 108-vessel-full of dairy products, turmeric and kumkum on the occasion.

 

 
The entire temple premises was decorated with flowers, while security measures were made to avoid stampede among thousands of devotees whilst offering puja.
