College lodges compliant against mischief on Facebook

Mangalore, 17 Jan 2014 (TOI): The St Aloysius College authorities have lodged a complaint at Mangalore North Police station after some miscreants used SMS and Facebook to carry of mischief by announcing a holiday claiming that one priest, a college authority, had passed away.

 

College principal Fr Swebert D’Silva who lodged the complaint said: It was a prank by somebody. This type of mischief would create confusion, hence we lodged the compliant.

 

What the facebook message said: "Hello guys, there is a sad news. Former Aloysius Collage Campus minister, Fr. Allen Lobo, has been expired due to age, bar. So there will be leave to the Collage. So let his soul rest in peace"

 

Fr Swebert confirmed that there was no Fr Allen Lobo in the campus. The college had a minister but with a different name. The prank was noticed on Wednesday at 11pm.
