National Culture sustained by Rural-Folks–B C Rao Shivapura

Karkal, 6 Jan 2013: ‘God is dwelling in each one of us.  One has to explore within oneself.  If we worship God daily at home, the spiritual bliss bestows on us.  The daily worship indeed cleanses our mind and enables fear-free environment to reign in our midst.  The Bhajan culture in rural villages and other religious practices that are inherited from generations together sustained the national culture, said renowned Haridas B C Rao.

 
B C Rao was the chief guest speaking during the decennial celebrations of Sri Guru Raghavendra Bhajan Mandir, Pelattije, Hirgana, near here on Saturday January 4.

 
B C Rao expressed concern over the disregard of ancient religious practices in the cities and towns because of new generations who are more hooked to TV, mobiles and facebook culture.

 

 
Speaking on the occasion, the journalist and teacher B Pundalika Marate said that no where one can find narrowness in Indian culture.  The ancient scriptures and preaching of contemporary sages convey the concern for peace and happiness of mankind.  It has all the aspect for an individual to live for eternity.  The need of the hour is to worship God by at least a half-hour of Bhajan, that would bring peace and happiness among the families, said Marate.

 
The retired teacher K S Hirgana conveyed best wishes for the programme.

Hirgana gram panchayat former president Mainakar Shetty, Bhajan Mandir priest Sridar Kulal, secretary Sukesh Kulal, Mandir chairman Praveen Poojary were present at the dais.
 

Mandir former president Balakrishna, Sanjeev Devadiga, Harini Kulal, Praveen Bhat Kanangi was also present.
